Spotconverter version 5_2m
tested for double- and triple-spotting
- prepare genelist as follows (Excel):

Double check that e.g. IDs are correct (e.g. letter and number beginning
with 01 for each new plate or something)
Save file as "genelist.txt"
Create arraylist with Gene Pix Software for your grid: "arraylist.gal"
Copy or ftp files "genelist.txt" and "arraylist.gal" into your Unix folder on fez (Unix)

cd <Unix folder containing genelist.txt and arraylist.gal>

follow the questions
(remark: yspotdistance means spots in y-direction, )
- transfer new file "gallist.final" to PC and rename into "gallist.gal"
- open "gallist.gal" in GenePix Software
- if .gal file is not ok, check genelist.txt and parameters
