M-CHIPS components are run on Sun E 450 and Sun Fire V880 server machines (database servers) under the Solaris operating system and on a HP Superdome mainframe computer under HPUX. The latter recently is among the 200 fastest computer in the world (http://www.top500.org, February 2002).
